Oh youthful irresponsiblity strikes again!

I just found out this weekend that I have to get my passport by May 31 for the visa papers. Okay, so I should have applied for my passport earlier. I should already have a passport. I didn't know I would need to apply for the visa so soon.

Anyway. So my "political" connections mean crap. Unless I was a Senator's daughter, I don't think there's anyway I can get anyone to do this faster than 6-8 weeks. Typing illegible names into a database so whiny constituents could get their generic letters on whatever topic pissed them off means nothing. Hours wasted so I can have these connections to help me later in life and they mean nothing. Bleh. When I'm a politican, everyone will have passports FOR FREE!

So now something that should have cost me $97 is going to cost me $244. Ugh that's A LOT OF MONEY. BLEH. Nevermind, it should only be about $180-200, which is still a lot of money but not as much as about $250, which is an absurd amount, but it's still a lot more. All I can say right now is good thing I didn't buy that new bike.

I talked to my dad yesterday and he said he has airline miles through American Express so maybe the difference that'll make when I buy my plane ticket will make up for the extra money I'm spending on the passport.

Moral of the story: Get your passports early kiddos or it's going to cost you big time a significant amount more than you hoped.

OMG I cannot even believe that this is real

STEPHEN COLBERT AT THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER

Oh gosh this is so funny. Colbert insults Bush who is sitting 2 seats away from him.

The faces of the Republicans in the room are painfully funny at times.
