I've never had so much work to do in my life.
I hope Jamee notices tomorrow how much coffee, annoyance, yelling at my computer and ranting went into reading about post 9/11 detentions. I've picked apart 5 "chapters" of the website (http://www.usdoj.gov/oig/special/0306/index.htm) they have on it. It's hard, especially since a lot of it is understanding how the CIA, FBI, INS operate and having no prior knowledge of that is just like throwing myself in deep. I'm almost done reading though. My outline is 13 pages long.
And I still dont' know what my paper will be about.
Originally it was supposed to be about the social class of Muslims and their ability as immigrants, who don't necessarily know all the laws, to defend themselves legally. I don't see how this is really going to work because 9/11 threw out all the rules, even before the PATRIOT Act. It's not that they didn't know what their rights were, it's just that their rights basically ceased to exist.
Maybe that's what my paper will be about.
So much more to do!
